OTHER VISAS:
Permanent Family Stream Visas
PARENT
A parent visa is available where that parent has the
balance of their children living in Australia, or the most in any country is
Australia. Presence in Australia means permanent residence. The sponsoring child needs
to show they are settled before sponsoring. The most practical parent visa
requires a financial contribution as a second visa application charge just
before grant. Hallmark Immigration assists many families with this
particular visa. All these applications are made in Australia.
Sole
Remaining Relative
A common situation after sponsoring
their parents is that of a brother or sister with just one unmarried sibling
remaining outside Australia. They can sponsor them on this visa when certain
circumstances prevail.
Key is the definition of
remaining relative.
Aged Dependent Relative,
Orphan Child, Carer
These are less common situations, each with “technical
rules” requiring very close attention. For the carer visa there is a close
examination of the medical classification of the
person needing care and a review of family structure to determine if an
Australian resident is merely disinclined to provide the necessary care.
For the Orphan Child there is a close examination of the situation where
there is a surviving parent that is merely disinclined to be a parent and a
close examination of any claimed incapacity of the surviving parent. For any
Aged Dependent Relative the applicant has to be widowed or single and there
is a close examination of any dependence over the previous 3 years. In
modern economies, dependence financially in the context of government
pensions can be difficult to show.
